Film Developing Chart: Sprint Black and White Film Developer

(If your film is not listed below, check the development time charts at the Sprint website.)

Note 1: It is important that you measure the temperature carefully with a thermometer, as the developing times change substantially with variations in temperature. Agitate continuously for the first minute of each step and for 10-15 seconds of each minute thereafter. Sprint recommends preceding development with a 1 minute water prewet, especially advised for short development times (6 minutes or less).   Sprint developer concentrate diluted 1:9 is the exact replacement for Kodak D-76 developer diluted 1:1 or Ilford ID-11 developer diluted 1:1.

Note 2: You can use the chart below, derived from data provided by Sprint, or you can use the same times and temperatures recommended for Kodak D-76, diluted 1:1 when the developer is mixed as follows:

Mixing the developer: Dilute the concentrate 1:9 with water to make the desired volume. For example:

         100 ml concentrate
               +900 ml water_________

                1000 ml working solution

Sprint recommended developing times, concentrate diluted 1:9 with water:
