Using the Novatron Lighting Kit

Some general rules and precautions:

• Make sure that the main power switch on the power pack is OFF when plugging in or removing the lamps.

• At the end of your shoot, be sure to discharge the lamps using the "test" button, before shutting off the main power switch.

• If you are not using the modeling lights, please shut them off to conserve their life.

Suggested lighting setups:
The diagrams below are examples of lighting setups for the Novatron kit. The data are based upon an average size room with an 8 ft. white ceiling. Your area or conditions may yield a different f-stop. The shutter speed of the camera should be set to its flash synchronization speed (usually 1/60 or 1/125 for 35mm camera shutters and highlighted in red or white on your shutter speed dial). To be certain of getting a usable negative, bracket your exposures around the f-stops suggested below.
