The Advanced Electronic Media Lab is a research facility for faculty, visiting artists, graduate and advanced undergraduate students to develop sophisticated artistic projects using Digital Media.

Q: Who may use the lab?

A: The Advanced Electronic Media Lab is available to faculty, visiting artists, graduate students and advanced Electronic Media majors in their final year.

Q: How does one get to use it?

A: To obtain access to The Advanced Electronic Media Lab, visit the Media Cage. Checkout keys will be authorized on a case-by-case basis, after demonstrating competency with 275 equipment.

Q: What is the time frame for using the Lab?

A: The lab is available on a per project basis. Students should submit a specific time frame that they can work within for each project. The length of time can be renewed if sufficient.

Q: What types of projects are appropriate?

A: The advanced lab is available to artists who are working on any large-scale project such as video and audio works, or any other projects, which can best make use of the available technology found in the lab. The Advanced Media Lab is not a drop-in lab. This is not a general use lab and permission will not be granted to those whose work could as easily be done in 279.
