Summer Program in Paris, 2009
Program assistance grant application and instructions
Information about any program assistance grants that may be available for USF art and art history majors will be available by September of 2009 and will be posted to this page.
Undergraduate Program assistance grants:
Eligiblity: The applicant must:
- * be a full-time student at USF.
- be an art or art history major seeking a B.A. or B.F.A. degree.
- be currently either a junior or senior.
- have a minimum overall G.P.A. of at least 3.0 as well as 3.0 in the major.
- still be a degree-seeking student during Summer Session A, 2008.
- not have previously been a student in the Summer Program in Paris.
- have already submitted a Paris program application and been approved into the program.
Graduate Program assistance grants:
Eligiblity: The applicant must:
- be a full-time graduate student seeking either an M.F.A. degree or an M.A. degree in art history.
- still be a degree-seeking graduate student during Summer Session A, 2008.
- not have previously been a student in the Summer Program in Paris.
- have already submitted a Paris program graduate application
Note: School of Art and Art History graduate students are assured acceptance into the program but must still file a program application in order to be eligible for the program assistance grant.)
Application deadline for both undergraduate and graduate grants: Friday, November 30th, 5:00 p.m. All of the items below should be placed in a pocket folder or binder with your name on the front and submitted to the School of Art and Art History office, FAH 231. Please follow the directions below carefully.
Application: the application must include:
- a completed Program assistance grant application form
To download the form, click here. - a statement about your work or research (approximately 100-200 words).
- a statement (approximately 100-200 words) about what you hope to gain from your study in Paris experience. (This statement can be a duplicate of the one submitted with your application to the program or it can elaborate upon it.)
- documentation of your work. The work must have been completed within the past two years and should be submitted in one of the following forms:
- 1-2 cd’s, dvd’s or videos (Please make sure the files are accessible either on a PC or MAC.) Include a separate title sheet with the disc indicating your name, title of work, medium and dimensions.
- 10-15 slides of work in a plastic slide page. Each slide should be clearly labeled with your name, title of work, medium and dimensions and should be accompanied by a separate title sheet with this information.
- 1-2 papers (for art history majors
