Program Costs for 2009:
  • On-Site program fee: will be posted here by September, 2008.  Please check back.
  • fee for optional Venice excursion, June 30th – July 6th:  $975.00**
  • Study Abroad Administrative Fee: $200.00
  • USF Tuition (anticipated, to be confirmed by September 2008)
    • $120.00/ per undergraduate credit; $200.00/ per graduate credit (not included in program fee)
Variable Program Costs (not included in the program fee)
  • Round-trip airfare
  • Individual instructional materials & books (approximately $100.00)
  • Meals and personal expenses (suggested budget of approximately $200-250.00 per week)
  • Students will be required to purchase an International Student Identity Card (Cost: $23.00)
Included Program Features

  • Lodging, double-occupancy  (Premium housing options, including single occupancy with private bath and shower, are available for a surcharge of $400.00 - $800.00. Contact the program coordinator for details.)
  • All ground transportation including chartered bus from and to Charles de Gaulle airport, unlimited use of metro and bus systems within Paris, group day trips to sites outside of Paris including Chartres, Giverny, Vaux-le-Vicomte, Auvers-sur-Oise, Chantilly and up to three individual excursions to the suburbs
  • All admissions to art museums (both group and individual visits)
  • All admissions to cultural sites during group excursions
  • Group picnic and one group restaurant dinner
  • One performance event (ballet at the Opera de Paris or similar event)
  • Maps and guides
  • Guidance of on-site USF faculty and assistants
  • Emergency Medical Insurance ***

 
The Venice excursion includes: travel from Paris to Venice by overnight Artesia train (with couchette), 5 nights lodging at a centrally-located 3-star hotel (air-conditioned), all rooms with private bath and shower, occupancy 2-4 persons/room, full buffet breakfast, boat transfers from train station to hotel upon arrival and from hotel to airport for departure, admission to the Venice Biennale and to all museums and cultural sites visited on group excursions and guidance of USF faculty.  (Single room may be available for a surcharge of $200.00)

**   Venice excursion fee for those who enroll in Venice only and not the Paris program is $850.00

*** USF provides students and faculty study abroad program participants with insurance coverage for sickness, accident, hospitalization and emergency medical evacuation.  This coverage is extended to program participants for the dates of the program. Those who plan to travel independently, in advance of or after the program, must arrange their own insurance coverage. One of the least expensive options is to purchase an International Student Identity Card.  The card offers minimal insurance coverage and costs $23. It is available through STA Travel on the USF Tampa campus, tel: (813) 974-3380.

**Note: The deposit is completely non-refundable. You are strongly encouraged to purchase trip cancellation insurance if there is a possibility that you may have to cancel out of the program between the payment of the deposit and the departure date.
