Deposit deadline: Friday, January 16, 2009

Applicants are encouraged to submit their application as early as possible. Please read the following carefully so that you understand how you can best secure for yourself a place in the program.

  1. Applications will be processed as they are received and students who are accepted into the program will have a place reserved for them in the program until the enrollment limit is reached.
  2. Students who are accepted into the program after the enrollment limit is reached will be placed on a waiting list. After the deposit deadline, any reserved spaces in the program that become available will be given to wait-listed students, who will be required to submit the deposit immediately in order to secure that space.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student status, or completion of at least two years of full-time undergraduate education. Non-degree seeking students may apply.
  • A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 in your major and an overall G.P.A. of 2.75.
  • Minimum course prerequisites as listed in the course descriptions or their equivalents.
  • IMPORTANT: USF students who have had 36 hours of upper-level courses (3000 and 4000) must pass the CLAST test by the deposit deadline of January 19, 2007 in order to enroll in this program.

  • Submit a completed application form:

    • To file your application on-line, click here.
    • To obtain an application that you can print out and mail in, click here.
    • If you are a USF School of Art and Art History graduate student, fill out the graduate application here.
  • Obtain the recommendation forms by clicking here. Print out two copies and distribute the recommendation forms to two faculty who are familiar with your aptitudes and abilities and request that they send the completed forms directly to the program coordinator as soon as possible.
  • University of South Florida students do not need to submit a transcript since academic advising will supply that to us. Students at other schools are responsible for having a current transcripts (either official or non-official are acceptable) sent directly to the program coordinator.
  • Upon receipt of your completed application, you will be contacted by the program coordinator to arrange a brief interview, either in-person or by telephone.
